Ways For Kids To Make Money Online

Here are some ways for kids to make money online:

If your teen is struggling to find a part-time or after school job, either to save up for college or just to have their own spending money, why not look online? There is plenty of opportunity, and working online can help teach your child responsibility and discipline while helping them improve their skills, and give them the chance to run their own business. Here are three easy ways for kids to make money online either after school or during summer break.

Writing Web Content

If your teen is a good writer, then they can find many ways to make money online by writing articles, website content, and blog posts. There is an abundance of websites that are willing to pay for content. Associated Content, for example, publishes a huge range of topics and they are always looking for more writers. You can choose a topic from their assignment desk or submit topics that you choose. You are generally paid by the number of page views your article gets, but you can also earn money upfront for content.

The pay at first may not be astounding. As an example, you may earn $3 for each article you write, plus a buck or two based on the traffic your article gets. However, this can translate into a decent monthly income. The articles are simple to write, and many people submit several each day. So if you submitted five articles each weekday, that would end up netting $100 each week. As you write more, you may become a preferred content producer, in which case you can get writing gigs that pay you a much larger fee per article, generally $20 and up.

Writing Product Reviews

Product reviews are one of the most popular searches online. People now research before they buy, and there is a high demand for well-written product reviews. Websites such as Epinions and Shared Reviews pay writers for their reviews. Of course, you want to have used the product you are reviewing, but you can also talk to other people whop have used it, look around online forums, and put good, honest reviews together.

Programming

The world has truly gone virtual, and more and more people are hiring freelancers online to do their programming. If your teen is good with any programming language, they can make money online. Companies post gigs on websites such as Scriptlance, where freelancers from around the world can then submit a proposal and bid on the job. It may take a while to start getting work, but once you start the opportunities are virtually limitless. The trick is to treat bidding like a job in itself, and to submit professional-looking proposals. Once you land a gig or two, you are well on your way to earning some good money…far more than at a minimum wage student job.

Affiliate Marketing

You can make money by creating a blog or website about things you love, and then earning commissions on products you refer to in your blog.   Places like Amazon, eBay, and Clickbank all have different types of products that you can link to from your blog or website.   Be sure to read our article called:  Affiliate Marketing – Legit Ways for Kids to Make Money Online in High School and Beyond.
